For my photojournalism class, I went to find and capture what still is normal to our everyday lives. Things that continue on rather a pandemic is happening or not. So I took some time to think about what always seems to be moving forward "normally" no matter what, as long as the sun is shining. So for this blog post, I wanted to highlight the plants, animals, insects, and family or people I live with.
My family still sits on the couch almost every night to spend some quality time together. The dogs are still trotting about and barking at who knows what. Or the bugs and animals that continues to live out their normal lives. Not at all concerned about the six feet rule or washing their hands.
A dandelion with a tiny bug just going about its own business. Completely unaware of the pandemic; unbothered or altered. Spring is here, plants are growing, and bugs are emerging. May 8, 2020.
The family dog, Kozo, is outside in the backyard. Taking in the fresh air. This is a usual sight of our family dog outside on patrol, and barking at neighbors and fellow animals that occasionally pass by. May 8, 2020.
The Kawai household(my family.) Lyn Kawai on the far left, next to her is Kozo, Margret, and Ariyon Kawai on the far right. The Kawai family takes some time after dinner to talk and spend quality time with the furry friends. May 8, 2020.
